About our food
Although mexican is our speciality, there is something to suit all tastes. Such as our stone baked pizzas freshly made by hand daily. The Menu includes lots of ‘sharing’ meals such as fajitas.Download our Menu.

This place is fun! The staff are really friendly and relaxed and it's a Mexican restaurant in a very traditional pub it's completely bonkers but absolutely works! July 2016
Four of us dined at the Scared Crow last night and we were very impressed. The setting is unusual for the food offered. First impressions are that this is a typical, small village pub a short walk from the main drag of bars and restaurants. However once inside I realised that their speciality was Mexican food as a sizzling skillet of fajitas was brought to a table in front of me. There were not many tables inside and it was fully booked. Due to the size, on weekends they offered two sittings, 7 and 9pm. The food was delicious but the most noteworthy aspect was the portions. My starter, the Calamari, was the size of a main. They could have easily halfed the portion and still charged the same amount, although I hope they don't. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I never write reviews, I think this is my second one, however the Scared Crow made such a good impression that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. June 2016
My friend and I go to the Scared Crow once a month for a catch-up and their delicious fajitas. We've been going for over a year and we have never had a bad meal. They are completely delicious. The pub is small and quirky and that's it's charm. A little gem tucked behind the high street. Definitely worth a visit if you are in West Malling. April 2016
The menu here is sure to provide something for everyone, the food is freshly cooked to order and portions are generous. My most recent visit was for lunch last Friday when I arrived to find the place completely full! Despite this I was warmly greeted forthwith, by both the landlady and her excellent female bar supervisor, and a drink was immediately in front of me on the bar. Whilst awaiting a table (I hadn't booked) I watched the landlady flying around with an incredible, infectious energy. She was chatting warmly to everyone whilst working flat out to keep service flowing both at the bar and in the restaurant. This is typical of the vibrant atmosphere in The Scared Crow which together with the superb food, guest ales and extensive wine list makes this pub the best in town. February 2016
My partner and I visited this pub today for a valentine meal . We was greeted by a very friendly landlady, who immediately made us feel very welcome. The starter was delicous we had the nachos to share, followed by the chicken fajitas. The chicken was lovely and tender, and cooked to perfection along with all the peppers and onion. My partner had the banoffee pie for pudding, and actually said it was one of the best she has had.An absolute gem of a pub great food brilliant friendly staff will definately be returning soon.
